BeUnveiled Wedding Photography - Simon Pope
Reservation
A £495.00 booking fee (non-refundable) is required to reserve the specified coverage.
Pre-event consultation
The parties agree to a pre-event consultation by phone before the event date in order to finalise the actual shooting times, locations, changes, extensions and finer detail. Meetings at the actual wedding venue are available if booking the Gold or Platinum Packages however only phone meetings are available if booking the Silver Package.
Both parties agree that cooperation and communication is the paramount consideration and will produce the best possible results for this assignment, thus decisions are restricted to the couple and the photographer. Simply put: Simon Pope is the sole PHOTOGRAPHER for the time allocated and any other terms agreed to in this document. The COUPLE are the sole decision makers at the wedding, regardless of who is paying the invoice.
Designated appointee
The couple will designate an individual to identify people of whom specific photographs are desired. The Photographer will not be responsible for missing shots of those on the VIP list, if there is no one, to assist in identifying these people, if you failed to produce a list, if the list was stolen, if they didn’t show, if they are negative about being photographed, or they can’t be located.
Digital print rights / Artistic property / Exhibition / Model release
The wedding couple have permission to make an unlimited number of copies and/or reprints of any images, or to reproduce the images for any non-commercial purpose, for personal use and distribution at no charge. The photographer retains the actual copyright to all photographs and images taken.
The couple grants to the photographer it’s legal representatives and assigns, the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of the parties or in which the parties or their family may be included, for editorial, trade, advertising and any other purpose and in any manner and medium; to alter the same without restriction; and to copyright the same. If you don’t wish to have any of your images published on a social media platform such as Instagram then simply let the photographer know.
Limitations / Negotiated time / Additional time
The photography schedule and selected locations, equipment, participation pre-discussed is designed to accomplish the goals and wishes of the Couple in a manner enjoyed by all parties. It is not uncommon for weddings to go on longer, thus, overtime is calculated at a rate from £50.00 per half hour if agreed prior to the wedding day. The Couple are thereof notified shooting commences at the scheduled start time and ends at the agreed time. If the event goes on longer and the couple wish for an extension, a verbal acknowledgement is sufficient. Payment will be due after the wedding and prior to receiving your photography.
Allowances are made for unusual or catastrophic weather (such as flooding), personal injury, sudden illness (such as a virus), victim of crime or acts of God. Tardiness is not considered an act of God.
If either couple are late to the point of achieving the desired images from being taken, the photographer shall not be held liable for lack of time to take said desired photographs.
Church, reception, catering hall rules
The photographer is limited by the guidelines of ceremony official or reception site/venue management. The couple agree to accept the technical results of their imposition on the photographer. Negotiation with the officials for moderation, changes and adjustments of certain guidelines is the responsibility of the Couple; The photographer is to be notified of any changes.
Travel fee calculation
Travel fees are calculated on the normal expected travel time to get to and from the main wedding site from The Photographers office or residence whichever is closer on the wedding date. There are no travel fees if the wedding is within London & the SE of England. Travel time is calculated at £60.00 per hour outside London and the SE of England.
Limits of liability
It is further understood that in the very unlikely event that the photographer is injured or becomes too ill to photograph the event, and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received for the event photography package.
The Photographer takes the utmost care and with respect to the delivered product. However, if due to electronic equipment failure or the MemoryCard/ Camera / photographs have been lost, stolen, or destroyed for reasons beyond the photographer’s control. Liability is therefore limited to the return of all payments received by the photographer for the event photography package.
Retainer fees
In the event of a wedding cancellation, for any reason, including a couple separation, wedding venue closure, or as a result of a death or a virus pandemic:
• The retainer/booking fee paid is non-refundable unless your contract, terms and conditions, is ‘frustrated’ due to lockdown laws and then 50% will be refunded.
• CHANGE OF DATES/POSTPONEMENT: If the agreed date is problematic and another date is available, at our discretion we may change the date. If there is a conflict, the booking fee is non-refundable.
Final payments
Prior to the conclusion of the Wedding, the photographer will be paid in full for all services rendered. The photographer will retain the copyright to all imagery, the couple will retain dual print rights, and BeUnveiled will sometimes use selected shots for a venue wedding book, website or Instagram.
Processing, albums and books
The editing process should be completed approximately 14-21 days after the event and approximately 30 days in busy periods ie April – October.
• Hand bound Wedding book creations, enlargements, and any extra requests produced under the assignment may take longer due to external companies processing times.
• Wedding Books must be ordered within 30 days and signed off within 60 days of returning from your honeymoon, or they may take longer to produce.
• A maximum of three (3) page changes are allowed before further charges are applied to the Books by the Book Company.
• Any special overseas shipping costs will be paid for by the Couple. Within the UK are included.
